Google Toolbar PageRank Finally Dead?

If you’ve been around SEO for any length of time then it probably won’t come as too much of a surprise that it seems Google are not going to update the Google Toolbar PageRank anymore.  John Mueller stated in the Google hangout below that they probably won’t ever update it again (around 20 mins in), so if you do follow (no pun intended) your website’s page rank then this is probably never going to change again.

How To Change WordPress Login URL

How To Change WordPress Login URLWordPress is the most popular CMS (and best in my opinion) around today. However because of this it’s also targeted a lot by Hackers and is easy for their attack bots to find.

The thing is pagerank is still being used and adjusted, Google are just not showing it publicly. This has kind of always been the case really. What you see in the Google tool bar isn’t your ‘true’ page rank and has only ever been updated every 3 or 4 months Your real pagerank will be getting updated a lot more regularly than every 3 months or 4 months.

So what does that mean for you?

Intro To The Intro

Hi and welcome to my first personal blog,  it’s only took me 7 years to finally get around to doing one! In this first post I wanted to give you some insight into how I got started in Internet Marketing, the mistakes I’ve made over the years so you don’t have to and basically highlights from my Online Marketing journey.
